Every year a number of positions as teaching assitants are available to students in the French, German and Spanish section in the Department of Languages and Literatures. Preference is given to students who have chosen either French, German or Spanish as a major area of study, although students minoring in either of these languages may also be considered. Teaching assistants work closely with a professor and tasks usually include correcting assignments, tutoring or computer work. The remuneration is $741.60 for one semester and $1482.20 for the full academic year. Teaching assistants are expected to work up to 6 (six) hours per week except during study and exam periods.
